EMPREINTE :
one foundation, two ambitions.

In creating the Empreinte foundation, i2S wanted to preserve written and image heritage, a desire expressed with respect for both tradition and modernity.
The Empreinte foundation has two ambitions: Preserve & Promote written and pictorial cultural heritage.

• It will act, first of all, in helping to preserve written and image heritage through actions to save library and photographic collections via project proposals that will be addressed to the selected candidates, with the Empreinte  financing or participating in the financing of the selected project(s).
  
  
• It will also act in promoting heritage renewal by supporting contemporary creative talents in the fields of literature and photography by presenting prizes or subsidies, or by rewarding in similar fashion young talented journalists, all of these actions being taken in partnership with public and private players: museums, universities, publishers, bookstores, and, more generally, with any entity that wishes to support the Empreinte foundation in its missions.

Appreciative of the influence and prestige of the Institut de France, i2S has placed the Empreinte foundation under its aegis.
